Season 4 | What stories for our time?
After three years of convincing exchanges via internet and YouTube, StoryTANK took up residence in Rennes (Brittany, France) for a series of public events at Les Champs Libres. For two days, the intimate practice of fiction writers as well as the impact of their stories in our lives has been questioned, explored and clarified.

Initiated by Le Groupe Ouest, the StoryTANK’s mission is to create exchanges and dialogues on a European scale between two distinct universes: that of screenwriters, and that of researchers exploring a diversity of fields – anthropology, cognitive sciences, physiology, philosophy… It is about building a European coalition of thinkers, manufacturers of fictional worlds and intimate journeys. Our meetings aim to refine our understanding of the birth of stories, their impact in the transformation of our lives and creation of new ties between humans.
Our “Factory of storytelling” in Rennes is an opportunity to bring together women and men who explore the living and their bodies when touched by stories, hand in hand with those who built today’s fictional worlds.
“We are made of movement.
Everything moves around and inside us at various speeds, incalculable, in all directions.
Our world does not stop moving, changing and constantly challenges us with new stories, new fictions to follow this incessant movement, to live there and continue to move and live together. In 2023, our StoryTANK research lab is dedicated to exploring these stories. We invite researchers, thinkers, dressmakers, writers, storytellers to ask the questions that the construction of Narratives requires for our time.”
