Vinca Wiedemann graduated as a film editor from the Danish National Film School, but soon turned her attention to script development. As Film Commissioner at the Danish Film Institute and Artistic Director of New Danish Screen, she has been responsible for supporting the development and production of many feature films and has been instrumental in the development of Danish cinema. Vinca is an internationally recognised script consultant and script supervisor for directors such as Lars von Trier, who worked closely with her on the scripts for MELANCHOLIA and NYMPHOMANIAC. She is currently working with Thomas Vinterberg on his first television series. Director of the Danish National Film School for five years, she is active internationally as a member of think tanks, film juries, lecturer and tutor on artistic collaborations and film issues related to the development process, innovation, education and film policies.
