Jeanne Aptekman is a French screenwriter with a PhD in cognitive linguistics and philosophy. She began her career co-writing a series on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, before becoming a reader for Canal+ and collaborating with the CNC. She has taught screenwriting at ESEC and CinéFabrique. She co-wrote Frères ennemis (2018) by David Oelhoffen, Enquête sur un scandale d’État (2022) by Thierry de Peretti, and À son image (2024), also by Peretti, which was selected for the Quinzaine des Cinéastes at the Cannes Film Festival. She is currently working on several feature film projects, including Le Costume with Corneliu Porumboiu and Denver with Vimala Pons.
