Marc Marti is a professor at the University Côte d’Azur, where he leads the LIRCES laboratory (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Narratives, Cultures, and Societies). He holds a PhD in Iberian Studies (University of Jean-Monnet, Saint-Étienne, 1994) and is an expert in narratology and the history of ideas in Spain from the 18th to the 21st century. His research focuses on narrative genres, sociotechnical devices for storytelling, and applications to new media, particularly video games. He is the author of several books, including Tension Narrative and Storytelling (L’Harmattan, 2013), and is the editor of the journal Cahiers de narratologie.
