Anaïs Goudmand is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, and has completed her PhD at the Centre de Recherche sur les Arts et le Langage (CRAL) of the EHESS and at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. She is now a researcher at KU Leuven in Belgium. As a specialist in serial narratives in media culture, she has a keen interest in exacerbating the effects of suspense and curiosity in this context by linking it to the commercial objectives that these narratives fulfill. It develops an empirical approach based on the study of comments made by readers or spectators
