Screenwriter Christelle Berthevas taught literature and general culture before training as a writer. A graduate of the CEEA (Conservatoire européen d’écriture audiovisuelle), she first worked with Arnaud des Pallières, with whom she adapted Michael Kohlhaas (2013). The film was selected in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival and won two Césars. She then co-wrote Orpheline (2016) with Arnaud des Pallières. The film won the Bayard d’Or at the FIFF in Namur and received three nominations at the Académie des Lumières 2018, including Best Screenplay.
