Marcel Beaulieu est un scénariste canadien, avec plus de quarante ans d’expérience. Il a écrit ou coécrit une soixantaine de scénarios, presque tous pour le grand écran. Il a remporté le prix du meilleur film suisse de l’année pour “Coeur Animal” de Séverine Cornamusaz, le prix du meilleur scénario au Festival du Film de Namur pour “Looking for Alexander” de Francis Leclerc et le prix du meilleur scénario au Fespaco en 2015 pour “Fadhma N’Soumer” de Belkacem Hadjadj. Les films auxquels il a participé ont remporté plus de 200 prix nationaux ou internationaux, dont un Golden Globe pour “Farinelli” de Gérard Corbiau. Il a également animé des ateliers de scénarisation à travers le monde, de Yaoundé à Alger, au Burkina Faso, au Mali, en Suisse, en République du Congo, à Beyrouth, Le Caire et Marrakech. Il est consultant pilier du Groupe Ouest depuis 2007.
